DDR5 Signal Integrity: A Practical Guide

## Key Challenges

**VDDQ Noise:** The increased data rate means voltage fluctuations occur at higher frequencies. Proper decoupling and PCB layout are critical.

**Crosstalk:** With tighter signal spacing in DDR5 DIMMs, crosstalk between adjacent signals can degrade the eye diagram significantly.

**Reference Voltage Margins:** DDR5 uses a split VREFCA and VREFDQ scheme, requiring careful calibration for each channel.
